Tv Week: Top 10 Vampires Revealed

I just bought a copy of TV Week after I saw the picture of Eric Northman on the cover. I know, obsessed much? But it was worth it, cause guess who was number 1? Anyways, I'm gonna do the countdown thing. Here goes.

10. David (Keifer Sutherland), The Lost Boys
Hmmm. Definately not Peter Pan's Lost Boys, that's for sure. David's the one with the blond hair and black coat. And is that you he's pointing at? I've never heard of this movie. I have heard of Keifer Sutherland, though. Anyone seen The Mirror? Creeped me out so much, I couldn't look at my reflection for a whole week.

9. Spike (James Marsters), Buffy & Angel.
I loved Spike. Seriously, I was so sad when he died. I was won over the moment I heard that adorable English accent. Especially the way he says "Luv". And the way he tries to be all bad-ass, but really isn't? So cute. The poetry was bad, though. 

8. Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), True Blood
 I never liked Bill. I mean, I guess he was alright at first, when he and Sookie first met, but after that, his character really died down. I guess it's good to see that chivalry isn't dead after all, but Bill's mannerisms need some work. He's a vampire, dammit, and he should well act like one. That is, apart from the occasional "Sookie is MINE." Where's the terrifying snarls and intimidating stare? He's always so in control, it seems. I'm just waiting, waiting for that moment where he cracks. And looses it. Goes crazy. Chucks a tantrum. Or whatever.

7. Damon (Ian Somerhalder), The Vampire Diaries
Even though I've never read the books, or seen the tv series, I've heard about it. And I have to say, the guy's too hot to be bad. The story centers around Elena Gilbert, a high school girl torn between two vampire brothers. Ian Somerhalder previously played Boone in Lost. Now I'll just have to wait till the series premires on GO!. 

6. Emmett Cullen (Kellan Lutz), Twilight

OMG it's my giant macho teddy bear! He's definately one of my favourite characters in Twilight. He's funny, cute, protective and just so damn lovable. You can't help but love Emmett. I just wished he would give me one of those bear hugs. "Hell's not so bad if you have an angel with you." - One of the best quotes in the book, spoken by the vampire himself.

5. Louis (Brad Pitt), Interview With A Vampire

I guess I should see this movie sometime... That's all I have to say.

4. Mick St John (Alex O'Loughlin), Moonlight

Yet another another vampire I am unfamiliar with. According to the description, "Mick drinks blood from dead bodies only and uses his supernatural skills in the PI game. He has dreamy blue eyes, a five o'clock shadow and an endless supply of snug-fitting Henley shirts."

3. Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), Twilight

I don't love him, but I don't hate him either. Stephenie Meyer has said that Edward's character was inspired by Gilbert Blythe (Anne of Green Gables), Fitzwilliam Darcy (Pride and Prejudice) and Edward Rochester (Jane Eyre). Personally, I loved Mr Darcy, and I don't see much of him in Edward. Robert Pattinson was good as Cedric, though.

2. Angel (David Boreanaz), Buffy and Angel

As far as good vampires go, Angel would be on top of my list. I was so happy when I saw that he was going to have a spin-off show of his own after Buffy, I went and bought the whole series. The thing I loved about Angel was that he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty and he did what was necessary to protect the people he loved. David Boreanaz definately has the dark, mysterious, brooding thing going on, and it suits him well.

1. Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard), True Blood

This Viking vampire has had me from the very first episode I saw him in (S01EP04), and I haven't stopped loving him since. Eric is scary (like a 1000+ vampire should be), devious (him tricking Sookie into drinking his blood? And that smirk that he had on afterwards? Pwah.) and sexy (nuff' said). His accent and voice is captivating, and I'm so glad we saw so much more of him in season 2. Hopefully we'll get to see some real interaction between Eric and Sookie, instead of the steamy dreams Alan Ball keeps feeding us. And Alexander Skarsgard in Generation Kill? So-freaking-awesome.
